Alkali Resistant (AR) Glass Scrim is an oriented fiber fabric. Scrims are often used in conjunction with fiber reinforced mixes to provide additional tensile strength in locations that will experience point-specific strain. When they are placed in the tensile regions of the product they can significantly increase the flexural strength of the composite. More than one layer of scrim can be used for increased performance.
This scrim is produced with 10mm X 10mm (3/8") webbing and comes in 1 m (40") wide rolls. It is available in lengths of 15', 50' and 300' (4.6 m, 15.2 m, 91.4 m).
All of our alkali resistant glass fiber products are manufactured in compliance with ASTM C1666/C 1666M, EN 15422 and under recommendations of PCI and GRCA.
